Motor mechanic

ATOC AUTO REPAIRS has been operating for over 35 years in Belgrave South, specializing in four wheel drive vehicles, servicing, repairs and accessories.

We are currently looking for a qualified experienced 4WD mechanic (or at least 5 years standard workshop experience) that has a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude.

Full time, immediate start, 5 day work week, no over time or weekend work. All tools provided.

The successful applicant must be a qualified mechanic with excellent mechanical aptitude and the ability to provide a consistently high standard of workmanship and attention to detail. We are also looking for a candidate who possesses a positive attitude towards work and the ability to work within a team environment unsupervised. Having a current driver’s licence is essential and experience specialising in the four wheel drive industry would be a great advantage. The level of secondary education is not critical, however, an understanding of tasks/duties, computer skills and possessing an ability to carry out instructions correctly & follow proper work place processes is essential. Additionally, having good people skills and being punctual are also desired attributes from the successful applicant.

Tasks to be undertaken include: servicing, repairs to all parts of 4WD vehicles, suspension upgrades, in house diff and gearbox overhauls, custom fabrication etc – so mig welding skills would be an advantage. High level of diesel engine knowledge is highly desirable with problem solving skills using latest diagnostic equipment.

We do NOT work on any American or English cars so you are safe from that headache!
