Job Description:

This job involves identifying problems, removing fixed and moveable body glass from the vehicle, preparing window surfaces, applying tinting processes and installing glass ensuring that trimming of components and application of adhesives is carried out. It is also necessary to ensure that the vehicle passes a safety/roadworthy inspection prior to customer use.

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment of all 4 compulsory core competency standards, all of the listed stream competency standards, plus 3 elective standards from the automotive 'bank' or any endorsed Industry Training Package at the same AQF Level.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
