Job Description:

This job is likely to be located in a combined workshop and customer retail environment and will involve duties such as identifying automotive parts/components and knowledge of their use, arranging and presenting merchandise including, setting up and maintenance of displays and labeling/pricing of stock, completing cash or credit transactions, applying customer service and sales procedures and computer usage.

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment of all 4 compulsory core competency standards, all of the listed stream competency standards, plus 3 elective standards from the automotive 'bank' or any endorsed Industry Training Package at the same AQF Level.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
