Job Description:

This job is located generally in a car dealership and involves the sales of automotive parts/components through the identification and knowledge of products, controlling stock, clarifying customer needs and resolving of problems and promoting the services of the business. (This occupation should be read in conjunction with the more general 'Aftermarket Salesperson' job pertaining to the qualification, 'Certificate II in Automotive Aftermarket Retail Operations').

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment of all 4 compulsory core competency standards, all of the listed stream competency standards, plus 3 elective standards from the automotive 'bank' or any endorsed Industry Training Package at the same AQF Level.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
