Job Description:

This job will be located in a dedicated workshop or in a combined workshop/retail sales environment. Outdoor Power Equipment comprises lawn mowers, chain saws, brush cutters, generators, pumps and other similar engines/motors. The duties will involve repair and servicing of outdoor power engines and engine components, servicing of cooling and petrol fuel systems, clutch assemblies, rotary, drum and chain cutting systems and servicing of post boring and pumping systems.

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment of all 4 compulsory core competency standards, all of the listed stream competency standards, plus 3 elective standards from the automotive 'bank' or any endorsed Industry Training Package at the same AQF Level.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
