Job Description:

This job will involve identification of automotive parts and products, providing customer information, conducting sales, stock control, merchandising, packaging and operation of computer systems. As a part of general customer interaction, it will also include handling of telephone queries and complaints and 'troubleshooting' of customer problems.

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment in a total of 20 units, including all 7 compulsory core competency standards, 7 of the listed stream competency standards, plus 6 elective standards at the Certificate II level or above, which may be sourced from the above list or any endorsed Industry Training Package.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
