Job Description:

In an insurance or automotive environment, this job will involve facilitating communication through the flow of written and verbal information, maintaining records and the management of computer input and retrieval. It will also require inspection, comparison and determination of action in relation to damaged vehicles and determination of the viability of damaged vehicle loss recovery through evaluation of various salvage and disposal methods.

Requirements:

To be awarded the qualification, the New Apprentice must attain a successful assessment of all 4 compulsory core competency standards, all of the listed stream competency standards, plus 3 elective standards from the automotive 'bank' or any endorsed Industry Training Package at the same AQF Level.

Duration:

This competency based program is likely to extend over a period of up to 12 months, depending on the achievement of the required competencies (this period may vary between States/Territories).
